At the conclusion of this workshop your managers, team leaders, and supervisors should:
• understand the background and spirit of Equal Employment Opportunity legislation and anti-bullying guidelines
• identify link between effective and appropriate leadership style and prevention and management of EEO and anti-bullying issues
• understand the impact (financial and cultural costs) that issues can have on your brand, continuity of operations, staff moral and retention and attraction of employees
• follow key elements of the process to manage allegations of unlawful discrimination and workplace bullying
• understand the role of leaders in the everyday management and prevention of unlawful discrimination and bullying in the workplace. In particular the importance of role models, responding to issues and demonstrating support and commitment for the organisation’s policies
• understand key management responsibilities and liabilities.
